How it Began....

LetterRoads came about through introducing letter shapes and sounds to my three year old son.

                        

His imagination led him to look at the letters as roads. He reached for one of his toy cars and some road signs; and LetterRoads was born.

How it Works....

The beauty of LetterRoads is in its simplicity;

Getting down on their hands and knees and playing builds upper arm strength in children, so important when it comes to beginning to write.

The letter shapes are imprinted on their minds during play and the letter sounds are reinforced through the colourful pictures on each mat.

Placing mats together introduces word building which in turn leads on to role-playing and speech development, particularly when two or more children are playing together.

What it is....

LetterRoads is a set of 26 large colourful mats (A3 size), each one showing a letter of the alphabet as a road surrounded by pictures chosen for their phonic association with the letter.

LetterRoads is produced in Britain on thick board made from managed forestry resources, using natural, vegetable-based inks and is fully biodegradable.
                

The set comes with helpful user hints for guiding the children to the correct phonic sounds and a handy, natural 100% cotton bag for easy carrying and storage.
